Dea Matrona – Debut Album Release

Dea Matrona was formed by Orláith Forsythe & Mollie McGinn in 2018. The pair met in school and began busking on the streets of Belfast which led to several of their busking videos going viral, gaining over 8 million views online. After an appearance on the RTÉ Late Late Show, the band’s single ‘Make You My Star’ went to Number 1 on both the UK & Ireland iTunes rock charts, with their follow up single ‘Stamp On It’ reaching the same position. Dea Matrona won two awards at the NI Music Prize in 2021 and have supported acts such as Kaleo, Feeder, Black Eyed Peas, Eagles of Death Metal and Van Morrison. The band produce their own music and will be releasing their debut album “For Your Sins” independently in May 2024. The support received from the PPL Momentum Fund is a huge boost to the album campaign and will support the costs of making the album happen.
