Douvelle19

Douvelle19 has always operated between a myriad of sonic worlds. The Newport based producer’s interest in the fluidity of genres and bridging disparate sounds stretches back to his childhood.

Elliot’s journey within music has taken many shapes, he formed the group Astroid boys and toured internationally whilst studying his GCSE’s, he started self-releasing music under the alias ‘Dellux’ and has now landed at his most recent project ‘Douvelle19’. The bringing together of sounds from different genres has always been a key characteristic in his production and his endeavours to create fresh and exciting music is still at the forefront of everything he does.

His debut ‘D19’ EP, his ‘edits’ series on soundcloud/youtube and now his new EP ‘When I Dream’ have all been a conscious and progressive attempt to use his experience and his self-taught skills to create his own lane within the music industry. All housed under his own label and completely self funded, the DIY ethos remains at the heart of his projects.

Starting at a youth centre in his hometown of Newport at the age of 15 all the way up until now, the varied and exciting journey has led him to this moment, where all of his experience is aligning and his sonic identity is truly forming. With plans to tour his self-promoted night called ‘Locally Sauced’ across the UK and continue innovating fresh and exciting music, it feels like his journey is just starting in a very conscious and effective way.
