‘Elevator’ – the debut album by Runrummer

With strong support from Kitsuné Musique and BBC Introducing, Runrummer is an artist on the rise and certainly one to look out for. Originally from Birmingham, she takes her name from the famous Rum Runner Nightclub which helped launch local Brummie bands Duran Duran and Dexys Midnight Runners in the 70s and 80s. Now based in East London,

Runrummer is the brainchild of Livi Morris; a 27-year-old singer, songwriter and producer pulling influence from classic 80s bands alongside contemporary artists like Gorillaz and Clairo. Over the last 18 months she has opened the Introducing Stage at Radio 1’s Virtual Big Weekend, toured the UK and reached #14 in the Music Week Club Chart. She has played festival stages across France, charted on iTunes Norway and been featured on Spotify Editorial playlists New Music Friday, New Pop UK, Alt-Pop, Wholesome, Peach and Monday Spin; an impressive track record for a relative newcomer. Officially tipped by BBC Introducing as “one to watch”, she oozes a distinctive form of alt-pop which effortlessly blends indie and electro with waves of nostalgia.

PRS Foundation are supporting Runrummer by helping to fund the release of her debut album ‘Elevator’; a ten-track journey of music which will help Runrummer to breakthrough in the industry. Working with long time collaborator and co-producer Ed Trotter, the album will be mastered by Katie Tavini (Arlo Parks, Emily Sandé, We Are Scientists) and released digitally by boutique distributor Canvas Music with support from renowned French-Japanese label Kitsuné Musique.
