feeo: Women Make Music

feeo’s third EP – recording and releasing

feeo is the artistic moniker of producer, musician and multidisciplinary artist Theodora Laird. Channelling a unique combination of styles and influences, feeo’s practice revolves around a principle of immersive storytelling, and a focus on the tension between micro and macro narratives. Lyricism, sonic world-building, concept and visual accompaniment are four quarters of an enveloping whole.

After the release of her acclaimed debut project feels like we’re getting older doesn’t it , feeo released her sophomore EP Ah, Hunger! in June 2023, garnering widespread support from the likes of Pitchfork, CLASH, FADER, Gilles Peterson, BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music.

feeo will use her Women Make Music grant to record and release her third EP. The EP is the latter half of a wider project consisting of two four track EPs and a body of written poetry and prose. The first of the two EPs “Ah, Hunger!”, was independently released in June 2023, and the second EP, with the support of PRS, will shortly follow. feeo also plans to release printed copies of the text that underpins the project in conjunction with the second EP.
