Green Man Trust: The Open Fund for Organisations

Making your mark as an emerging band in today’s industry is tough business. So Green Man set up Green Man Rising to help give acts a step-up and set them on their way to becoming the headliners of tomorrow. Rising supports UK-based acts at the early stages of their careers and, in their vast majority, not yet signed to a label or management company. Under the umbrella of one of the most respected and renowned music festivals in the UK and internationally, Rising focuses on quality and potential.

It’s free to take part and open to any genre and music creator based in the UK. Bands compete for a chance to play Green Man – the winner opens the festival’s iconic 12,000-cap Mountain Stage and finalists make the bill of the 2,000-cap Rising Stage. Every single entry is listened to by Green Man’s Creative team. The top bands then compete at the final that is judged by an expert panel of music industry professionals at the very top of their game. They have included the likes of MOJO, Bella Union, Domino Records, Moshi Moshi, Kilimanjaro, NME, Guardian among others. So what are you waiting for? If you got what it takes, visit greenmantrust.org/arts-development/music/ to find out more.
