Saphone: International Showcase Fund
Safone the Birmingham Hip Hop & Grime artist labels himself as an artist who really keeps it real hence why large numbers of fans relate to his music. Safone has always been able to Rap & MC but decided to take music seriously sometime during 2012. He got his first set of beats from now super producer ‘Preditah’ & as a result made his first solo track ‘Ders Safone’. Since then he has been a crown jewel within the Birmingham music scene.
He dropped his first mixtape ‘Saf Done Dis’ this solidified his position in the UK music scene since then he has dropped mixtapes The Link Up, Another One & most recently I’m Rar Hard The Mixtape. He has appeared in national radio numerous times and had his music playlisted on radio stations such as BBC 1xtra.
On Friday 13th July 2018 Safone became the first Hip Hop / Grime artist to do a pay per view show. He has also performed allover the UK, Europe & has performed at SXSW in Austin, Texas USA. The international Showcase Fund from PRS Foundation is allowing Safone to continue to take his music to new territories, further grow his fan base and meet new artists with the intention of possibly making new music.
The journey continues for Safone who after producing the beat for his track ‘Bounce’ showed his musical capabilities are endless and continually evolving.
