Jay Chakravorty 2022 UK Tour

Jay Chakravorty is a self-taught composer/producer/performer who makes music for string ensembles, pianos, and analogue synths. His debut album “A Map With No Memory” was released in May 2021 and was one of Stuart Maconie’s picks for ‘best new music coming out in 2021’ on BBC 6Music. He has received airplay from Stuart Maconie, Tom Robinson (BBC 6Music), John Kennedy (Radio X – including a live session and interview), Adam Walton (BBC Radio Wales), Roddy Hart (BBC Radio Scotland) and KEXP Seattle, and been featured in blogs and magazines including The Line Of Best Fit and Stationary Travels.

The funding from the PRS Foundation will help to pay for Jay’s debut UK tour. It will be put towards covering the cost of going on the road with a string quartet for at least 5 UK dates in 2022, bringing his modern classical music to venues more usually associated with indie music.
