Jonathan is the driving force behind a.P.A.t.T.’s ongoing series of large-scale ensemble concerts. He has been active in drawing together a 30-strong (and growing) orchestra from all areas of Liverpool’s diverse music scene and in programming music that utilises the architecture of each performance venue. The ensemble made their debut in December 2009 at Liverpool’s Bluecoat with an acclaimed performance of In C by Terry Riley. This was followed by a successful performance of John Cage’s Variations I at Liverpool’s Walker Art Gallery. Jonathan plans to expand the ensemble for future events.
In addition, Jonathan has played music extensively throughout Europe. Compositions have been played by members of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and he has also been active in composing scores for short films and animation.
