Josh McClelland

Josh McClelland was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland and has been in London for the last 6 years. After studying music for 3 years at the University of Westminster, Josh landed his first cut in 2019 with ‘Highway’ by Cheat Codes, Sofia Reyes and Willy William which has since surpassed 20 million streams on Spotify. Since then, Josh has had cuts in a number of different genres with many different artists like SEVENTEEN, Syn Cole, Hey Violet and a Netflix soundtrack album. Notably, Josh recently co-wrote ‘Rock With You’ – the lead single from SEVENTEEN’s mini album ‘Atacca’ which was the third biggest selling album of the year globally in 2021.

“I’m so thankful to PRS Foundation for choosing me to be a recipient of the Hitmaker Fund at such a key point in my career. This funding will allow me to take the next vital steps in my career and will help more than they know! It’s such an honour to be selected alongside such talented writers and producers too!” Josh McClelland
