“My name is Keedz and I am an independent artist from South London. I first started out rapping as a kid in the school playground with my friends. We used to clash each other to see who had the best bars. Being the only female in the mix it helped me stand out from the boys especially as i used to beat a lot of them in the rap clashes. It’s then I discovered my passion and love for rapping.
As the years went by I continued to write lyrics and as I got older I began going to open mic nights and that’s where things started to pick up.
Fast forward, I’ve been self releasing my music. I now currently feature on Spotify’s Grime shutdown playlist which has a following of over 750k listeners. I supported Skepta at his charity event show and recently performed at Reading and Leeds 2021 on the BBC 1Xtra stage which have been massive highlight of my career thus far. I’m currently in the process of recording my first mixtape which is set to be released later on this year.
I am extremely grateful to have been selected for POWER UP and be apart of the programme. I’m positive this will have a great impact on my growth.”
