KOF: Power Up Music Creator
KOF
Hip-hop/Rap
“I was born in Liverpool and raised in London. I moved back to Liverpool to study Drama at University. I began writing, recording and working with local artists. Although I started singing, I eventually started rapping. My music started getting played on stations such as Radio 1xtra and I was being supported by Mistajam, Huw Stevens, Ras Kwame and Ronnie Herrel. I began working with artists such as Wretch 32, Terri Walker and Ghetts.
Some of my career highlights include playing on the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury. I was also invited to the MIDEM music industry event in Cannes following my song ‘Child of the Ghetto’ reaching the top 40 in France. Some of my other highlights include performing at the MOBO Awards and an unreleased collaboration with American rapper KRS-One. This was all very early on in my career and since then I have been working with local artists in Liverpool, producing, mixing and mastering their music.
I find myself tapping into so many genres: Hip-hop, R&B, Soul, Reggae and Grime to name a few. I write, sing, rap, produce, film and edited my own videos as well as create artwork for anything I release.
I have just released a single called GRACE which has already been played on BBC London and added to many playlists. I am looking forward to working with POWER UP…and I am excited for the opportunities ahead.
I am looking forward to being part of the POWER UP project, seeing how it can help my music as well as connecting with other creatives also on the rise.”
