Artist Accelerate Programme

Lady of the House supports, champions and promotes the work of those underrepresented in electronic music. This includes women, ethnically diverse, disabled, those from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and artists 40+ years old. Our aim is to diversify the sector and to create inclusive music events which represent the UK’s diverse society.

Lady of the House started its journey in 2020 with Lady of the House book, telling the stories of 150 pioneering women in the music industry such as Jaguar, Sarah Story, Nicole Moudaber, Charlotte de Witte, Nina Kraviz, Ultra Naté, DJ Rap, Roisin Murphy and many more, with a special foreword from Carl Cox. In 2022, Lady of the House was featured on V&A Dundee’s exhibition ‘Night Fever: Designing Club Culture’ and held its own 3-day Cultural Exhibition. Lady of the House also produced live events and showcases at festivals worldwide, including Boomtown, International Music Summit and Amsterdam Dance Event.

Artist Accelerate Programme is a project designed to support music creators from underrepresented backgrounds. We will provide space and resources to create, as well as mentoring, promotion and performance opportunities in front of live audiences. Following a successful trial in 2022, we are excited to launch the next phase of Artist Accelerate Programme.
