Lucinda Chua is a singer, songwriter, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist of English, Malaysian and Chinese heritage. Signed to 4AD, Chua released her second EP, Antidotes 2 via the label in the summer 2021, earning her praise from Pitchfork, The Guardian and gal-dem, as well as features in Crack and Dazed. The lead single from the EP, Until I Fall, was C-List at 6 music, earning her a session with Mary Ann Hobbs, as well as the song being synced on HBO’s Euphoria Season 2 Episode 4 in early 2022. Chua has also composed the soundtrack for film 3OHA with Alex Epton that was released in 2019.
Chua has toured extensively as the cellist for FKA Twigs’s live band during 2019. Since 2018 she has performed with and supported a wealth of contemporary artists such as Yuele, Max Richter, Sega Bodega, Kelly Moran, GAIKA.and Nabihah Iqbal, as well as performing at festivals such as Pitchfork, Le Guess Who and MUTEK and for brands such as Uniqlo, NTS and gal-dem for the V&A and Tate Modern. This culminated in her first headline show at Bold Tendencies in Peckham to celebrate the release of her debut EP with 4AD in summer 2021. She has just finished recording her debut album.
