FIRE

FIRE. 60 minutes of deep, low, lyrical and rhythmic solos and duos for bass and piano. The new music of fire will embrace life-sustaining smouldering embers to raging bushfires, the fire at the centre of a dying star to the whips of smoke as a memory of fire’s past. A host of international soloists, festivals, venues, publishers and recording labels will all join together for this project, with chances to hear FIRE live in Europe, the USA and Australia. Then for audiences around the world via all major music streaming services in the form of a new concept album of the complete set of works.

Luke is a composer prolific in opera, the theatre and instrumental music. His operas have been performed at Glyndebourne, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the Perth Festival.
