Mha Iri: Women Make Music

EP Recording & Release

Scottish-born and Edinburgh-based Mha Iri is the tough techno breakout for 2023. From her earliest productions in 2018 to the most recent weapons on world-renowned techno labels Filth on Acid, Drumcode and 1605, the mission is clear – bold big room techno peppered with elements designed to sweep the floor with energy! Her loyal and dedicated fanbase supports her across the world, rewarded her with several Top 5 Chart positions on Beatport and millions of streams on Spotify. Playing key shows like E1 (UK), Gate13 (Portugal), Mayday and Ikarus festival and the famous Rave-The-Planet-Parade in Berlin, Mha Iri is unstoppable.

Mha Iri will use her Women Make Music grant to write, produce, record and promote an original EP with her own vocals. Mha Iri has been adding her own vocals to her techno productions for a while and with support from the grant she can really experiment with songwriting development and find her own sound. The funds allow her to focus more on the composing and songwriting aspect of her production process, explore options for a vocal coach, and help her grow her abilities as an artist. Co-funded by the grant, she will execute a full promotion campaign to maximise exposure and traction for the release. Activating her loyal fanbase of over 100.000 engaged followers and tapping into new audiences will be key cornerstones of the campaign. Additionally, all efforts will be aimed towards a good chart position and wider radio play of the tracks.
