Cattle & Cane: Momentum

Led by siblings Joe and Helen Hammill, Cattle & Cane have the ability to shift even the hardest of hearts with their perfect, soaring harmonies. Joined by their brothers Fran (guitar & backing vocals) and Vin Hammill (bass), along with close friend Tom Chapman on drums, Helen and Joe’s finely crafted indie-pop showcases the kind of mesmerising harmonies that are truly synonymous with family.

Over the past 12 months, Cattle & Cane have performed at acclaimed tastemaker events such as Reeperbahn Festival, Live At Leeds and Evolution Emerging, as well as at some of the UK’s finest boutique festivals including Cornbury, Deer Shed and Bingley Music Live. Last year also saw the band tour abroad for the first time with shows in Germany, Malta and Belgium, while a sold-out 1000 capacity hometown show at The Middlesbrough Empire ensured a triumphant finale to 2016.

With extensive support from the likes of BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6 Music and Amazing Radio, Cattle & Cane have been heavily championed by the BBC Introducing team and previously performed on their stages at T In The Park and BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park.

Produced by Luuk Cox at ICP Studios and mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road, new album ‘Mirrors’ marks a big step up for the band and has already caught the attention of Dermot O’Leary, Janice Long and Clash Music. 2017 looks set to see Cattle & Cane’s ubiquity in their native Teesside continue to spread far and wide.
