Natalie Shay: Women Make Music

EP Recording and Release

Natalie Shay is a multi-award-winning musician from North London, establishing a growing loyal fanbase through her explosive live performances and unforgettable anthems. With indie pop leanings and ferocious guitar playing, Natalie’s references include artists such as Haim and Taylor Swift. Her relatable lyrics touch on love, self-discovery and the everyday experiences of a twenty-something. She is a dedicated musician and keen to inspire other young female and non binary creatives to pick up the guitar and be fearless in pursuing their dreams. She has already piqued the interest of audiences across the globe, gaining attention from publications such as Billboard, Clash and The Line of Best Fit and landing Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist in 12 countries. She performed on CBBC’s “Saturday Mash Up!” and has been supported by BBC Introducing London. She has also co-written and featured on big EDM tracks with Grum, Giuseppe Ottaviani and Kryder, totalling 7 million+ streams to date. Previously selling out venues across London such as Camden Assembly and Oslo, and following a big summer appearing at renowned festivals such as Y Not?, BST in Hyde Park, 110 Above and Reading, Natalie is ready to record her next EP for release in 2023. PRS Funding will enable that to be recorded with a combination of her trusted producers from previous records such as Kaity Rae (Girli, The Shires), as well as new collaborators such as Gold Spectacles (SOFY, Mysie), Jack Wilson (Fickle Friends) and Roo Primrose (Swimming Girls).
