Northern Lights Project: The Open Fund for Organisations

re:sonance #2: cutting-edge new music and sound art

“Tempestuous, syllable-timed glossolalia; found sound, electroacoustic performance and noise; new digital techniques in live performance.” Northern Lights Project are delighted to announce a six-date tour of Northern Ireland showcasing Northern Lights Project artists in a series of exciting new music and sound art events in 2021-22.

This tour includes a three-part series of music, sound and performance events in Derry and Belfast: on three consecutive days in Derry and soon after that on three consecutive days in Belfast. The events will feature Northern Irish performers and artists from a range of disciplines, including improvisation, sound art, live art and electronic music.

The main aim of this project is to contribute to the artistic and cultural ecology of the region by developing a regular series of experimental music, sound and performance events. Northern Lights Project wish to create an environment where audiences, artists and performers can meet, engage and create in a spirit of openness, experimentation and adventure.
