Remnants - A New Piece of Music Theatre by ERRATICA

Performed by four singers and a dancer, REMNANTS is an electro-folk opera, re-arranging traditional Balkan vocal music and combining it with bass-heavy electronics. Conceived and directed by Patrick Eakin Young, the piece incorporates Bosnian, Sephardic, and Dalmatian songs, with original vocal arrangements and compositions by award winning composer Christian Mason and electronic soundscapes by DJ and installation artist Shelley Parker.

This haunting new piece of music theater is a 70-minute visual and musical rumination on war, personal and historical trauma, violence, memory, and what remains. Juxtaposing voices from the past with a deep, unsettling rumbling, the original score evokes the pain of history and the secrets that lie both within us and in the ground.
