Emma McGrath: The Open Fund for Music Creators

Emma McGrath is a 19 year old singer-songwriter heralding from Harpenden, North London. A great start to last year saw Emma release her EP ‘Silent Minds’, which has seen the first single, ‘Love You Better’, accumulate over 1.5m streams to date. Always planned as a triptych of ep releases under the ‘Silent Minds’ heading she was keen to produce a follow up to top Part I, but this was going to be a challenge on her own. Thanks to the Women Make Music funding that Emma received for the recording of first EP, and aware that the numbers needed to keep growing, she came back to PRS for further support. This time the focus was on funding for a Marketing & PR campaign: to employ the skills of the same team that brought success to the last project as well as expanding to introduce new, potentially key, members.
The upcoming EP has been almost a year in the making and Emma is confident in the final results. You can expect to hear her venture more into the world of pop without abandoning her roots of a clean acoustic sound with some songs meeting seamlessly in the middle. Even the artwork is next level so keep your eyes open!
