Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO): The Open Fund For Organisations
RSNO Film Composers Lab 2023:24
Back for its second year, the RSNO’s unique Film Composers Lab programme will give five UK-based composers the invaluable opportunity to collaborate with a professional orchestra, under the guidance of expert mentors Patrick Doyle and Danai Kokogia. Participants will craft two new scores for different ensemble sizes, gaining hands-on experience of composition for screen. This hybrid programme includes in-person workshops at the RSNO’s state-of-the art recording facility, Scotland’s Studio, and masterclasses led by experienced professionals from across the film and music industries, providing insights into the art and business of film composition. One composer will have their score selected to feature in the RSNO’s 2024:25 Season and all participants will have their work showcased at a special screening event in Summer 2024.
