Sin.Clair: Women Make Music

Recording and Production of Debut EP

sin.clair is the solo project of Amelia Sinclair Kidd from Glasgow, Scotland. Following the success of former gloom-pop band The Ninth Wave, including 2 SAY Award shortlists and a feature on Netflix’s ‘Umbrella Academy’, sin.clair continues Amelia’s endeavours in production and composition. Merging soaring harmonies with industrial drum machines and hypnotic piano lines, this debut EP creates a modern ritual for an alternate world. Co-produced by The Horror’s Faris Badwan and Amelia herself, the project explores a spectrum of genres from dark electronic to sacred music. Recorded at Holy Mountain Studios, London, these songs are presented with equally compelling visual counterparts for the next chapter in her career. Through collaboration with inspiring producers such as Faris Badwan, Jake Miller (Bjork, Yves Tumor) and Joel Patchett (King Krule), Amelia will take on a number of opportunities to enhance her own production skills. With this knowledge and experience, she aims to become one of Scotland’s go to music producers in a currently heavily male dominated scene.
