SISTRA celebrated their debut alt-pop EP, ‘the pursuit of feeling fine,’ with a sold-out launch gig at The Waiting Room in August 2023. The London based sisters make emotional music for emotional people – amassing over half a million streams in two months.
Recognized by BMG as “one of the most exciting acts they’ve come across”, SISTRA’s debut single ‘You’re a Lot’ featured on BBC Introducing, Spotify Fresh Finds, BBC Radio 1’s Future Pop – Class of 2023, with syncs on Love Island and Made in Chelsea. As an independent alt-pop duo, SISTRA show no signs of slowing down.
SISTRA will use their Open Fund for Music Creators grant to support the production and release of their 2nd EP. They plan to record the project at their local Pirate Studios in Dalston. Emerging from the sugary melancholy of their debut EP ‘the pursuit of feeling fine’, the sisters want to explore the euphoria, the panic & the cuteness to be found beyond the state of ‘feeling fine’ – experimenting with hyperpop, garage & dance in this new chapter.
