Cherie Jones is an artist based in London signed to independent record label 37 Adventures. She has been writing and recording her debut album over last twelve months, working with a selection of UK producers including Rodaidh McDonald, Two Inch Punch, Ollie Green, AK Paul and Raffertie amongst others. She has released two singles so far – Indulge and Hoops – and her music has been played on Radio One, 1Xtra and Beats 1. She had also performed on Later with Jools Holland, as well as recorded a number of live sessions for Red Bull, the BBC and Vevo.

This grant will be used to fund the initial rehearsals for the performances, and also to cover travel to Austin and accommodation once we are there. This will be JONES first ever US show and as there has been a lot of support from the US on-line community, there is a good sense of anticipation for her appearance at the festival. We will travel over to Austin in mid-March and JONES will be playing a number of showcases, both as full band and as a duo.
