Scottish Music Centre: Talent Development Partner 2018

As Talent Development Partners with PRS Foundation, Scottish Music Centre will continue to develop young artists through our ‘Hit The Road’ programme.

Hit the Road is a youth touring project which takes young artists on their first tours across Scotland where they acquire the skills needed to succeed as a professional touring musician. Young artists aged between 14 – 19 develop these skills by meeting and working alongside relevant industry professionals such as promoters, bookers, tour managers, backline techs and sound engineers. They are also invited to attend professionally led workshops on topics such as photography, videography and social media. These workshops provide our artists with the various marketing tools needed to maximize the potential of their band.
