Generator North East Ltd: Talent Development Fund 2020
Generator is the North East based Music Development Agency that looks to project the careers of artists playing in all genres of popular and rock music. Many groundbreaking talent development programmes have lead to artists having meaningful and successful careers.
Generator are one of the UK’s pioneering music Talent Development agencies and their multi-faceted Tipping Point programme offers opportunities for artists at various entry levels. Through established and proactive links with regional and national industry partners they are able to help music creators connect to wider creative and career progression routes.
2020 – 2021:
Tipping Point provides comprehensive support for music creators through a multi-tiered approach including advice and mentoring, masterclasses, showcasing, digital toolkits, creative courses and development programmes.
Tipping Point primarily supports early career music creators from the North East of England and seeks to offer opportunities to a diverse range of artists at various career stages.
As core priorities are excellence and inclusivity, Tipping Point create pathways to mainstream industry success but also develop and deliver bespoke projects that focus on groups who are underrepresented in the music industry. This year they intend to focus a more creative development programme improving gender equality and access to the music industry for 18-25 year olds. They will also be looking at formulating new programmes for people in disadvantaged communities.
