Music creators on the Rising Programme are aged 18-25 and typically emerging artists who are at the start of their careers. The Programme represents a range of genres and musical styles (e.g. grime, electronic, acoustic, rock, jazz, R&B, folk etc.) from music creators UK wide.

The year-round programme consists of four initiatives. These are:

  • The Rising Sounds Project, pairing unsigned acts with producers;
  • Rising Presents, gigs during the year for emerging artists;
  • Music Industry Insight Days and Music Masterclasses; and
  • Rising Festival in October.

‘2020-21 was undeniably a really difficult year for the Roundhouse, music, and young people. Being a Talent Development Partner this year made a huge difference for our connections to the sector, offering advice and support to young people and artists, and securing our immediate future.’
