“I will be working with friends and, maybe, making new friends by writing a few little solo pieces for musicians and instruments that I’ve neglected. The project will to my very small portfolio of solos and give me a bit of space to play and experiment. I am looking forward to having some time to make scratchy bumpy horrible mistakes and ask questions. It will be nice to have a new set of works that are easier to put on and that have been written without a commission ~ or ~ for an occasion. I’m very grateful to the PRS Foundation for this grant, it feels like the right time to change things a bit.”
