VENOM PRISON: Momentum

“The new face of death metal” – Metal Hammer

VENOM PRISON first pummelled the jugular of the underground with a self-released demo in 2015. They continued to rip through the touring circuits of the UK and Mainland Europe and once a steady and full line-up was established, Venom Prison went on to release their debut full length Animus on Prosthetic Records.

This propelled the band into the spotlight earning them the prestigious Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band in 2017. With this recognition they continued their assault on the UK, Mainland Europe, North America and Canada with their energetic and passionate performances touring with the likes of Trap Them, Gorguts, Trivium, Code Orange, Aborted and Power Trip in addition to festivals such as Glastonbury, Download, Bloodstock, Boomtown and Damnation. Samsara was released in March 2019 to further critical acclaim including the band achieving the front cover of Kerrang Magazine.

With the current progress of Venom Prison and opportunities that have been presented, the band will continue to maintain their current trajectory of continued and sustained growth rising through the metal ranks. The PRS funding will enable the band to grow in multiple disciplines – both live, in the studio and ongoing collaborations as we enter the next chapter of their career.
