THE NIGHTMARES

The Nightmares is Eleanor Coburn (Keys & Vocals), Adam Parslow (Vocals & Guitar), Craig Preece (Guitars & Percussion), Benjamin T. Mainwaring (Bass) and James Mattock (Drums & Vocals) and was formed in late 2018, having met through previous projects and shared musical influences (The Cure, Alkaline Trio, Placebo, Bright Eyes, Interpol).

The group self-released their debut EP in 2019, followed by a Double A-Side single through Stereo Brain Records in 2020. Both releases were well received, selling out of physical copies respectively, helping the band grow its fanbase. During this period, the band toured alongside such acts as: Tiger Army, Grave Pleasures, Clan Of Xymox & Holding Absence.

The Nightmares then poured their collective hearts into the writing of their debut album,“Séance”, which was released through Venn Records & Equal Vision in 2023. This saw the band expand its following and led to touring alongside: Creeper, Funeral For A Friend, Dashboard Confessional, Kids In Glass Houses, Casey & FVK.

The singles from the album received airplay from Daniel P Carter, Alyx Holcombe & Huw Stephens at BBC Radio 1, as well as support from Adam Walton at BBC Radio Wales.

In March 2024, The Nightmares embarked on a successful first full headline tour of the UK and then completed the writing of their sophomore record.

This Spring, with the help of the PRS Foundation / PPL Momentum Accelerator, they will head into West Sound Studios in Newport, Wales, with Richard Jackson to record the new album.
