Celtronic 2019 – Or:la : 19th Anniversary Edition of Ireland’s Leading Electronic Music Festival: The Open Fund for Organisations
Celtronic celebrates its nineteenth anniversary this summer with five days and nights of music events, workshops, recording projects and much more across Derry from Wednesday June 26th – Sunday June 30th. 19 years on, Celtronic’s ethos remains the same: a celebration of electronic music culture that is focussed not on profit but on showcasing the most relevant names in electronic music alongside the best local and national artists in Derry’s finest venues and event spaces.
International headliners include Japanese techno wizard DJ NOBU, Bulgarian maestro KiNK, Studio Barnhus main man AXEL BOMAN, German house music legend MOVE D, Denmark’s finest export COURTESY, Berghain-Berlin regular DR RUBINSTEIN, Running Back regular KRYSTAL KLEAR and Maeve Records’ MANO LE TOUGH.
Other notable events include the opening event which will see the ULSTER ORCHESTRA perform a collection of music created at Celtronic Studios by key Irish electronic music artist PHIL KIERAN and 8 young musicians from Derry. RYAN VAIL and ELMA ORKESTRA two of Ireland’s most forward-thinking musical propositions will perform their acclaimed Borders show while Derry lady OR:LA, now one of the most in-demand electronic artists in the world, returns home for a special homecoming show.
As always, Derry and Ireland’s best emerging talent will feature strongly. Live performances will come from acts including PADDY MULCAHY, NAZIR, PORPHYRY, THE FULLY AUTOMATIC MODEL, THE CRIMSON UNDERGROUND, mcconville, VOVEN, DISTINCTIVE while the city’s leading clubnights including ACID FLEX, JIKA JIKA, DEEP FRIED FUNK, BEKUZ x INFLUX and QUEEN & DISCO will also feature.
