Without support and guidance many artists burn out, or cannot financially afford to continue their careers due to lack of knowledge or just being unsure of what next steps to take to develop creatively and as a business.
Over a 6-month period a mix of programmed activities and personally tailored development plans Baby People will help to support and develop emerging Urban Artists by guiding them on their journey and supporting the artist to have an ability and an understanding in all areas in their careers which will hopefully help them to develop and reach the next stage of their careers.
We will support the chosen artists both creatively and professionally. Using a range of highly experienced artists to mentor and support young artists from the East Midlands region. Our intentions are to focus on providing opportunities for:
• Exceptional talent who demonstrate that they are, or have the potential to do unique work that pushes the boundaries.
• That have a local or regional awareness but need support creatively and business wise to reach regional or national.
• Artists that have made the decision and shown the commitment to turn their music into a career but are not yet financially independent from their music career
• Those with the least opportunity that would not through other means be able to meet their potential.
