Ensemble and Electronics Commissions – UPROAR | Wales New Music Ensemble – Three Welsh Composers: The Open Fund for Organisations

Five venues in Wales, England and France will host performances of three brand new commissions for large ensemble and interactive electronics, by outstanding composers from Wales – Sarah Lianne Lewis, Bethan Morgan-Williams and Andrew Lewis. These commissions will be performed alongside contemporary classics by Spectral pioneers who emerged at IRCAM in Paris – Tristan Murail, Kaija Saariaho and Fausto Romitelli.

Following UPROAR’s hugely successful launch project 10 composers from Wales, 10 commissions, UPROAR, Wales’ only ensemble dedicated to the performance of contemporary classical music, was recognised as making a game-changing impact on composers and audiences in Wales. Plans are developing rapidly with performance and composer development projects taking place 2019-2020, both supported by the PRS Foundation.
