Musician in Residence at HMP Wakefield – James Dey: The Open Fund for Organisations

James Dey is a well-established folk/indie singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist in the North-West who performs regularly. James has produced two albums and is currently releasing his ‘Seasons’ series of EPs. He also composes regularly for theatre companies alongside his work with the Irene Taylor Trust ‘Music in Prisons’ as a prison Musician in Residence.

The Open Fund will enable the Irene Taylor Trust to continue supporting James Dey’s North West prison residency, where he has created a thriving culture of music-making, engaging with prisoner musicians through weekly sessions focusing on high-quality composition, recording and performances.
