The Smokehouse Presents: The Open Fund for Organisations
The Open Fund will allow The Smokehouse in Ipswich to promote a series of 12 gigs over a one year period.
Attracting out of town headliners and offering support to local emerging artists to provide exposure to new audiences.
The Smokehouse is predominantly volunteer run – so as well as being able to bring bigger names to the town, the funding will allow paid roles to be created for dedicated volunteers.
The Smokehouse will also use the grant to grow their digital output with live streaming in particular being an important method to increase audiences beyond the physical confines of the 80 capacity venue.
By capturing and disseminating content from The Smokehouse Presents shows we will attract and inspire new audiences and continue to improve the live music offer in the town.
