WOW Sounds – Artist In Residence with Miss Baby Sol

The WOW Foundation is thrilled to launch the first ever WOW Sounds Artist in Residence with sultry soul singer Miss Baby Sol.

With thanks to PRS Foundation, this project supports Miss Baby Sol to create new tracks, perform live and promote her music and activism in the lead up to WOW – Women of the World festival taking place at London’s Southbank Centre in March 2022.

Miss Baby Sol is a brilliantly versatile artist whose music spans from funk to soul to pop to jazz.

Her lyrics deal with issues such as the fight against racism and sexism, raising awareness of LGBTQI+ issues, the fight for education and protection of all children, domestic and sexual violence, calling attention to the climate crisis and championing self love and body positivity.

WOW Sounds is The WOW Foundation’s dedicated music programme, championing revolutionary girls, women and non binary musicians from across the world, who use their music to influence change in their local communities.

The Artist in Residence project responds to the lack of female representation in other festivals and platforms inspiring voices who have not been acknowledged in the mainstream, setting an example of what a truly intersectional line-up can look like.

The WOW Foundation is so happy to be able to support Miss Baby Sol with the time, resources and platform to create new work and reach new audiences. She represents a powerful example of how music can inspire activism.
