Patrick J Pearson: The Writer Producer Fund

Since completing a degree in Music Production at the Leeds College of Music, Patrick has applied his classical background in performance and arrangement to his unique style as a Writer Producer.

His first exposure as a writer was through his own material as a singer songwriter, performing at Glastonbury 2011 through BBC’s introducing stage. Patrick then went on to work at Middlefarm studios in Devon as a session keyboard player with producer Peter Miles, which led to him co-writing and performing on the album ‘Ark’ by We Are The Ocean. Both lead singles ‘Ark’ and ‘Holy Fire’ being play listed on radio 1.

After spending a year touring with folk rock act Dry The River, Patrick returned to focus on working with unsigned and emerging talent. He produced and wrote for London act Liu Bei with long term friend Richard Walters, signing multiple single deals. Perhaps his most noted work has been co-writing with artist and singer Grace Lightman, who has received critical acclaim for her first single ‘Vapour Trails’ from BBC 6 Lauren Laverne and has gone on to release ‘Fangs’ through Indie label Handsome Dad Records, produced by Ben Baptie.

Patrick signed to London publishers Barbera in 2015, and has since helped sign Swedish pop act Avante Black to Different Records with single ‘Drug Money’.
Patrick is currently working on a project with the poet Simon Armitage, under the name Land Yacht Regatta.
