Lyves: Women Make Music
Singer, songwriter and producer Lyves (aka Francesca Bergami) is a London based artist with Italian/Australian roots. She self-released her debut song Visions online in 2014 and has since received tremendous support from music press, online blogs and music fans alike worldwide.
Francesca started penning songs at the age of ten, but music was something she kept close to her heart. Francesca’s early teens were sound-tracked by the likes of Tupac and Seal, but as she got older her taste leaned more towards the electronic end of the spectrum: Moby, Air, Boards of Canada and Enya. “Hip-hop, soul and ambient electronic music. That’s always been the thread for me,” says Francesca. “My mother used to play Enya and I always thought it was corny as a teenager but somehow it captured my attention and I think that really influenced the way I produce music.”
She has received support from BBC6 Music, BBC 1 Xtra, MTV and have had her songs featured in both TV series’ and independent films around the world. Lyves will be releasing new music in summer 2017 whilst she embarks on supporting Coldplay on their European Tour.
